After a decade of working with TRU president Jared Coseglia in creative endeavors, Andrew Brody joined the TRU team in February of 2012, and is responsible for the financials, analytics, and business functions of TRU Staffing Partners. Prior to joining TRU, Brody served as Vice President of Content Development for The Princeton Review. In this role, his team was responsible for creating the materials, pedagogy, and training for Princeton Review's entire suite of standardized test preparation services. In addition, he spent years innovating the LSAT program as National Content Director, and is regarded as one of the country's foremost authorities on the LSAT and analytical reasoning. During this time, he created an award-winning podcast with listenership in the tens of thousands that used everyday life examples to teach the logical and analytical thinking tested on the LSAT. Brody graduated magna cum laude from the Georgetown School of Foreign Service, and he is also a musician and composer.
Pete has been in the legal document management business for over thirty-five years and has a vast network of relationships built over that time. His career began with Xerox’s outsourcing division in sales and sales management. He has managed national sales organizations in the legal marketplace dating back to Quorum. Pete has worked through eighteen company integrations during his time in e-discovery. Pete can lend expertise with integrating multiple sales organizations and service offerings, whether it is merging companies needing sales integration or integrating lines of business into a distribution channel of service offerings. In addition to Pete’s knowledge and experience in building and developing sales organizations, Pete brings a background in Total Quality Management as a Malcolm Baldridge Quality Facilitator and a Six Sigma Green Belt. Pete utilizes many of the organizational skills developed in leading Quality Improvement teams when consulting with clients. Pete has an extensive knowledge in creating a sales hiring profile, identifying a sales footprint, sourcing sales talent, thoroughly vetting and interviewing applicants, onboarding newly hired staff, and implementing a sales process to allow for strategic account management, forecasting accuracy, and transparency to sales activity.
Since joining TRU Staffing Partners in 2012, Ms. Habib has successfully placed hundreds of professionals in e-discovery and cybersecurity in direct hire and contract jobs across the world. Annette actively manages TRU’s entire portfolio of thousands of passive and active job seekers with the help of TRU’s award-winning talent scout and recruitment team. Annette first joined TRU as the National Operations Manager and was quickly promoted to a Recruitment Manager representing talent in New York and California. Her ability to source, deliver, and develop meaningful relationships with e-discovery and cybersecurity professionals quickly earned her elevation to National Director of Recruitment before finally arriving as Vice President of Recruitment. Having held nearly every role within TRU’s unique and diversified organizational chart, she is the ultimate ambassador of TRU culture, TRU representation, TRU perspective on the market, and what it takes to be successful in staffing and sales. Prior to joining TRU, Annette worked at Huron Consulting Group in New York where she provided executive-level support to the legal technology division’s sales, document review and project management teams. As the National Operations Manager, Shannon Bock brings more than 12 years of administrative expertise to TRU. She works closely with all members of the TRU team to ensure best practices and extraordinary service are being offered throughout all aspects of the TRU experience. Prior to joining TRU, Shannon worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant in the banking field with concentrations in event planning and volunteer initiatives. She has also worked as a freelance court reporter, having earned an Associate in Applied Sciences, Court Reporting from Peirce College in Philadelphia.
Katelyn Heston represents e-discovery and cybersecurity talent in the Midwest and Europe, with a particular focus on Chicago, Texas, Kansas, Minnesota, Atlanta, London, and Germany. Katelyn began her recruitment career in IT and brings years of recruiting expertise to TRU. Heston began her professional career at the United States Marine Corps, managing field operations with ten marines under her command. After serving four years, Heston received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis.
Tammy Hutchinson represents hundreds of professionals in the mid-Atlantic, with a focus on Washington, D.C., Virginia, the Carolinas, Florida, and Ohio. Prior to joining TRU, she successfully led and managed the launch of three Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs) in Ohio and Arizona. Hutchinson has extensive knowledge in human resources, recruiting, sales, and business development. Tammy was hired as the first corporate recruiter to design, develop, and execute recruitment strategies for one of the largest furniture companies in Ohio. In this role, she partnered with hiring managers to drive recruiting strategies for open positions at all levels for 16 stores and over 450 employees. Hutchinson is a member of the D.C., Richmond, and Nashville chapters of Women in eDiscovery and serves on the Board of Directors for the ACEDS Washington, D.C. Chapter. She graduated cum laude from Franklin University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Kristin Sullivan brings more than four years of experience in the recruiting/staffing field to TRU. Prior to joining TRU, she worked in both the healthcare and technology industries as a recruiting manager. Sullivan has mastered sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates based upon strategic qualification criteria. She has extensive knowledge analyzing candidate information to determine matches between candidates and job openings.
Sullivan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Ashley Wells comes to TRU with a wealth of experience in the recruiting/staffing industry. She started her recruiting in health care where she arranged for nurses to work at hospitals on a contractual basis throughout the United States. She then transitioned to legal recruiting and spent several years working at Legal Placements, Inc. in the Washington, D.C. office. Ashley is adept at recruiting, marketing and business development, contract negotiations and contract personnel management. Ashley received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with a focus on Public Relations and a minor in Marketing from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.
Cierra Short moved to New York from Seattle to start a new and exciting career. With encouragement from friends and family, she decided to pursue a path of sales and recruiting. After extensive research and networking, Cierra found herself intrigued by the field of e-Discovery and Cybersecurity, which landed her as the newest member of TRU Staffing Partners. Before TRU, Cierra freelanced as a graphic designer and created original content for several blogs and websites. Cierra earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Visual Art with a minor in Diversities from University of Washington in Seattle. Cierra is a member of the Women in eDiscovery New York Chapter.
Kate Neal works closely with all members of the TRU team to provide best practices and extraordinary service throughout all aspects of the TRU experience. Prior to joining the company, she worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant at a Richmond law firm and as an Administrative Assistant at Boston Children’s Hospital. In these roles, she was responsible for a wide variety of tasks including event planning, publications, and web content management.
Samantha Birkinbine brings several years of administrative experience to TRU. As part of the Operations team, she works closely with all members of the TRU team to provide best practices and extraordinary service.
Prior to joining TRU, Birkinbine worked as the Office Manager for the Arts Council in Idaho Falls, Idaho and as the Administrative Assistant for Edmentum Learning in Dallas, Texas. In these roles she was responsible for various tasks including office management, community outreach, and schedule management.
Nicolle Martin has 14 years of marketing experience, 12 of which have been in the legal industry. In her role at Edge Legal Marketing, Nicolle helps her clients, like TRU Staffing Partners, strategically plan and execute on marketing and public relations activity that will help them achieve their overall company goals. Prior to joining Edge Legal Marketing, Nicolle worked at Kroll Ontrack for seven years where she most recently served as the director of marketing services and was responsible for the execution of all marketing and public relations activity for both the legal technologies and data recovery product lines. Her experience also includes communications and public relations positions for companies in the technology industry. Nicolle received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Minnesota – Duluth.
It is with great sadness that we share with our clients, candidates, and business partners the passing of Jeff Scarpitti. Jeff was the co-founder and president of TRU Cyber, our division dedicated to cybersecurity, privacy, and advanced analytics staffing and career management. The impact of his loss to the e-discovery and cybersecurity community cannot be adequately put into words. Jeff dedicated the last twenty plus years of his life to the improvement of these industries and the lives and careers of thousands of people in them.
Jeff's professional legacy will be defined by a career of serving others first. He was always generous with his time, took no one else's for granted, and was a consummate team player – always patiently educating others, listening with an open mind, and constantly looking for opportunities to help others achieve their goals. His work ethic, passion for recruitment, and unmatched industry-specific subject matter expertise will be sorely missed and forever remembered.
