TRU Staffing Partners Announces Amazon Alexa Skill Updates with Jobs

TRU Staffing Partners, a globally recognized award-winning search firm representing talent and opportunities in data privacy, cybersecurity, and e-discovery, today announces the augmentation of their new Amazon Alexa skill, which will now provide new job postings in addition to the TRU Tip of the Week from their weekly Hot Jobs Newsletter. The newsletter features immediate openings in the core disciplines of data privacy, e-discovery, and cybersecurity as well as real-time guidance and advice to job seekers read by over 22,000 subscribers weekly.

TRU prides itself in providing tens of thousands of legal professionals, hiring managers, and industry leaders with global job market insights, career advancement opportunities, access to specialized talent, and advice on being a healthier, wealthier professional throughout its ten years of service to the community. Now, with the TRU Staffing Partners Alexa skill, the latest job openings, as well as weekly tips and real-time professional guidance for professionals in data privacy, cybersecurity, e-discovery, information governance, legal operations, and project management are accessible through Amazon’s voice-activated technology.

To hear the week’s new job offerings, ask Alexa to “enable the TRU Staffing Partners skill” from any Alexa device, or search under the Skills & Games section of the Alexa app. Users of the TRU Alexa skill do not need to create an account or to share any additional information to engage. Once enabled, ask Alexa to “Open TRU Staffing Partners” and, after the prompt, “Alexa, what are this week’s new jobs?” The Tip of the Week can still be accessed by asking, “What’s the TRU Tip?” You can also skip jobs by simply saying, “Alexa, next job.”

“Digital transformation is the cornerstone of every company’s bid for competitive advantage in the decade to come, and TRU’s commitment to providing unique and streamlined access and insight through advanced and sophisticated tech venues starts – but does not stop – here with our Alexa skill upgrade,” says TRU CEO and Founder Jared Coseglia. “You can now have jobs read to you while driving, riding on a train, multitasking, or simply relaxing and wanting a way to listen to what new jobs are available in our industry without having to stop whatever else you are doing.”

TRU invites all data privacy and legal technology professionals to enable this skill for the most up-to-date information on job availability in their verticals.

TRU Tips

An online job ad receives about 250 resumes on average. From these 250 applications, about 2% receive interviews.

Top 3 Reasons A Staffing Agency Is Preferable To Self-Submission
  • 98% of Fortune 500 companies use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), which often weed out 75% of applications before they reach human eyes, sometimes for irrelevant reasons like the way your resume is formatted.
  • As many as 50% of jobs are filled internally before even making it to the public eye. Some of these jobs are posted online to fulfill legal requirements, but an external candidate has little chance of landing the role.
  • Referrals have a 50% shot of getting an interview whereas for non-referrals, that drops to just 3%. In fact, 40% of hires come from the referral pool, which is only 7% of applicants.
