TRU Staffing Partners and EDRM to Present New Master Class Webinar on State of Legaltech Job Market

TRU Staffing Partners, a globally recognized award-winning search firm representing talent and opportunities in data privacy, e-discovery, and cybersecurity, today announces that founder and CEO Jared Coseglia will join Kaylee Walstad and Mary Mack of Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) to present a new webinar titled “Masterclass: Q3 2020 Legaltech Job Market Report.”

Presented on November 5 at 1:00 p.m. ET, this new master class will serve as an update on where the data privacy, e-discovery, and cybersecurity job markets are today as they adapt to the ongoing pandemic while keeping up with the ever-evolving legal tech landscape. Coseglia will break down what happened in Q3 in terms of job opening trends, compensation metrics, behavioral patterns in hiring, and much more.

“This quarterly webinar is a great way for legal technology professionals to stay educated and aware of market trends in real time,” says Coseglia. “This quarter’s report will be packed with statistics that help shape the narrative of our industries’ recovery and recalibration heading into 2021.”

This offering represents the fourth time TRU and EDRM have joined forces to present master classes to the legal technology community since EDRM’s acquisition by Mack and Walstad, and it is the continuation of a quarterly series intended to help legal technology professionals keep current with the trends and patterns defining the industry. As with prior offerings, this master class will provide attendees ample opportunity to ask questions and hear from three of the foremost thought leaders in the space.

Registration is free and open to all. Register for “Masterclass: Q3 2020 Legaltech Job Market Report” HERE. The previous webinar in the series can be viewed HERE.

Privacy jobs are shifting to corporate and away from law firms.

TOP 3 Reasons Privacy Jobs Are Moving From Law Firms To Corporations
  • Privacy's value is beginning to supersede simply compliance and beginning to now affect brand reputation.
  • Necessity for repeatable processes in privacy by design demands talent in greater abundance for corporations.
  • Outside counsel is too expensive and certain outsourced tasks can/should be internalized as they are not holistically legal functions.

Privacy's Rising Stakes May Be Changing In-House's Relationship With Outside Counsel

Corporate legal departments have often relied on outside counsel to help navigate an increasingly complicated landscape of global privacy laws. But as updates like California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 continue to roll in, companies may find it more cost effective to engage the services of contract workers or even long-term hires. Legaltech News reporter Frank Ready asked TRU's Jared Coseglia for his input.
