"Legal operations positions, on the other hand, may take a back seat to more project-based work opportunities over the next few months as companies try to get their feet back on solid ground post-COVID-19. 'We’ve seen those jobs in less abundance than privacy and security but still functioning in the project-based modality. Getting their house in order. "Meanwhile, workers who are unable to secure a coveted full-time legal department position may turn in the direction of alternative legal service providers, or ALSPs, who may also be taking advantage of the inflated legal job market to obtain talent they may not otherwise be able to afford.

"'We’ve seen project managers who are used to making $150,000 a year take a job at $115,000 because it’s a good job. There may be may not be jobs at $150,000 for the next six months,' Coseglia said."
