ACEDS and Women in eDiscovery are presenting a large event at ILTA, honoring WiE’s 10-year anniversary and the women who pioneered eDiscovery and have made a huge difference in our field! This is an ILTA affiliate sanctioned event at the Mandalay Bay Conference Center where ILTA is being held. The event is Wednesday, the 16th at 4:30pm – 6pm in the Ballroom. There are no competing events at this time. We will begin with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and then have a 30-minute presentation. We will have a professional photographer on site to memorialize this special evening. We are reaching out to all of our valued partners who have supported both ACEDS and Women in eDiscovery events in the past with an exciting opportunity to be a sponsor of this special evening. On behalf of ACEDS & Women in eDiscovery, we sincerely appreciate your continued support and are looking forward to collaborating with you for this event!

We are very excited about this special event and look forward to your participation with us in recognizing the very special women and organization (WiE) that have helped shape our eDiscovery industry and community!

TRU Tips

A company’s biggest asset and competitive advantage is the aggregation and analysis of the data they collect.

Top 3 Takeaways From The TIP (Technology In Practice) Conference In Toronto, Ontario, Canada
  • The Canadian eDiscovery and Information Governance market is growing and maturing quickly. Talent is hungry for professional development, job title and compensation realignment, and opportunity to make an impact within a firm, corporation, or service provider.
  • Canadians may be socially liberal, but they tend to be fiscally conservative—especially when it comes to e-discovery spend, whether for talent or technology.
  • Relativity does not yet dominate the Canadian market in the same way that it does the U.S. There is still widespread use of tools like Summation, Ipro, Ringtail, Venio, and more. Relativity is gaining adoption quickly, though, largely due to the vendor growth in Toronto with new players entering the market to compete with Commonwealth Legal’s undeniable dominance in the area.
