TRU Staffing Partners CEO to Speak on Two Panels at Technology in Practice Conference in Toronto

TRU Staffing Partners, an award-winning search firm representing talent and opportunities in e-discovery and cybersecurity, today announces Jared Coseglia, founder and CEO, will be speaking at the Technology in Practice Conference taking place November 8-10, 2017, at the Shangri-La Hotel in Toronto.

Technology in Practice is a two-day conference that brings together legal professionals, technology experts and members of the judiciary for practical education and discussion on emerging technologies in the legal industry.

Coseglia will be participating in two panels during the conference:

In the first, Coseglia, along with Mary Mack, executive director of ACEDS, and Jamie Chan, project manager and support specialist, Commonwealth Legal, will be speaking 1:10-2:00 on Thursday on “Passing the Torch: Career Strategies in eDiscovery” where they will talk about career paths for e-discovery professionals. This event will be held in the Museum Room and will be a Q&A-style session where they will discuss strategies for mitigating the talent drain and knowledge gap. In addition, the session will take a close look at the ACEDS mentoring program and review topics such as managing up, elevating your profile and the value of lateral career moves.

The second session is titled “Cybersecurity: The Impenetrable Topic” and will take place 2:10-2:55 on Thursday in the Main Ballroom. In addition to Coseglia, this session will feature Brent Arnold, partner, Gowling WLG; Sandy Boucher, senior investigator, Grant Thornton LLP; and Chris Plauschinn, senior director, IT Infrastructure & Enterprise Software, Commonwealth Legal. The session will give an overview of recent incidents and the emerging nature of cyberrisk and what it means for counsel when advising clients on how to manage cyberrisk, weather successful cyberattacks and defend the litigation that may follow. Coseglia will also discuss educational and professional opportunities emerging for lawyers and cyber practitioners.

“The e-discovery market in Toronto and throughout Canada has exploded in 2017 with more e-discovery talent demand and job opportunities locally than in the last three years combined,” states Coseglia. “The TIP Conference is part of the bedrock of Toronto’s ESI community and brings together some of the best and brightest throughout Canada and the world. I look forward to being part of this event and speaking alongside industry experts on how to attract top talent, hire the right people or move your career to the next level in e-discovery, cybersecurity and, specifically, the Canadian job market.”
