TRU Staffing Partners, a leading search firm representing talent and opportunities in the e-discovery and litigation support space, today announces the formation of the Scholarship Program Advisory Board. The Board consists of industry experts and thought leaders who are coming together to select the recipients of much needed education and training in the legal space.
The Advisory Board includes hiring managers in the AmLaw 200: James Bandes, Vanessa Bratcher, James Bekier, Scott Bilbrey, Sean Reddick, Wendy Axelrod, Chris Lucas, and Jason Reid, among many others.
“It is important to us that our applicant resumes and essays are reviewed by actual hiring managers in the industry,” stated Jared Coseglia, president of TRU Staffing Partners. “The Board will anonymously assess the applications based on key criteria such as professionalism, written communication, technical aptitude, passion for the industry, and articulation of thought. Current and future applicants, whether scholarship recipients or not, can rest assured that some of the best and brightest managers in our community will review their resumes during the selection process.”
TRU Staffing Partners launched the Scholarship Program earlier in 2012 and received almost 100 applications from 16 different states for the first set of training and education programs that are being offered.
Current scholarship partners include LitWorks™/DTI and Georgetown University Paralegal Studies Program, with others in the works. TRU anticipates triple the amount of scholarship opportunities next year, including a wider array of geographic partners. Additionally, eDiscovery Journal will also be selecting two of the recipients and giving them the opportunity to document their entire experience with the scholarship they receive on the eDiscovery Journal blog: http://ediscoveryjournal.com/blog/.
The Advisory Board is convening in the coming weeks and recipients will be notified and announced by July 4, 2012. Recipients of the scholarships will have the opportunity to execute their education and training in the third and fourth quarters of 2012.
