TRU Staffing Partners, a globally recognized award-winning search firm representing talent and opportunities in data privacy, e-discovery, and cybersecurity, today announces the addition of an additional Manager of Recruitment, Amelia Channell.
Channell brings a proven track record in specialized recruitment to TRU, having spent years in both technology and executive placement. Amelia made President’s Club in only her second year at her previous employer while single-handedly managing every aspect of the placement process. Self-described as a go-getter who is “very persistent,” Channell is ready to take on TRU’s record-breaking portfolio of open positions. “I can’t wait to dig into this industry, community, and TRU,” she states. “With TRU’s amazing support staff, I can entrust operational and scheduling work to the specialists and be free to focus on what I do best—finding the perfect candidate for every job I work on and the perfect job for every candidate I work with.”
“Where other people see obstacles, fearless people see opportunity, and that’s exactly what Amelia has demonstrated so far: fearlessness,” says Annette Habib, Vice President of Recruitment and Account Management. “In a short amount of time, she has already shown her ability to build strong relationships with candidates and clients, as well as with her team members. She has a consultative approach to recruiting and is passionate about the careers of those she represents.”
Channell seems fated to have become a TRU recruiter. In an early-career internship, she watched now-Vice President of Recruitment and Account Management Sarah Roberts in action before Roberts joined TRU. “I could see Sarah’s success and the way she worked, and I really admired her,” Channell says. “We stayed in touch when she left to start at TRU, and when she told me TRU was hiring, I knew if she loved the work she was doing, I would too.” Her philosophy regarding recruitment offers confirmation of that assessment. “I’m a relationship builder, not a transactional recruiter. My intent is to approach every candidate holistically, get to know who they are as a person, learn their short and long-term goals, and then find them a position that meets their needs now and also serves as a step toward their ultimate goals. I want to represent talent through their whole careers, not just for a single search.”
“It is very rare you meet someone and ask about career aspirations, and their response is ‘I want to be a recruiter.’ When I first met Amelia at her summer internship, that was her response. I knew then she was going to be the best, and that meant she belonged at TRU,” says Sarah Roberts, Vice President of Recruitment and Account Management. “Anyone who knows her knows she views roadblocks as speed bumps, and if you’re lucky enough to be represented by her, she won’t steer you wrong. I couldn’t be more proud to call Amelia a friend, colleague, and one of the best I’ve seen!”
