TRU Staffing Partners, a leading search firm representing talent and opportunities in the e-discovery and litigation support space, today announced they have extended the application deadline for the recently launched Scholarship Program due to the growing interest the program has received. Applicants now have until May 15, 2012 to submit their application to be one of the first recipients of this scholarship.

The Scholarship Program is designed to bring needed training and education to potential job seekers in the legal technology industry. Scholarship partners include LitWorks™/Document Technologies, Inc. and Georgetown University Paralegal Studies Program, with others in the works. In addition, eDiscovery Journal will select two of the recipients and give them the opportunity to document their entire experience with the scholarship they receive on the eDiscovery Journal blog - http://ediscoveryjournal.com/blog/.

“TRU Staffing is making a commitment to mentoring and advancing the e-discovery space with this scholarship program,” says Jason Velasco, CEO of the eDJ Group and eDiscoveryJournal. “We are really happy to be able to participate in some way and believe that taking part in our blog is a great opportunity for the recipient to share their experience with others while gaining additional insight and opportunities in the legal technology space.”

“We are thrilled with the amount of attention and excitement this scholarship program has received,” stated Jared Coseglia, president of TRU Staffing Partners. “Applicants from various backgrounds - paralegals, computer science majors, attorneys looking for career reinvention - have been calling with tremendous curiosity about the program and the industry. We decided to extend the deadline to ensure everyone who wants to participate has the opportunity.”
