Application deadline extended through March 11 as industry experts join the Advisory Board for the TRU Staffing Partners Cybersecurity and e-Discovery Scholarship Program

TRU Staffing Partners, an award-winning search firm representing talent and opportunities in cybersecurity and e-discovery, today announces that the deadline to apply for the 2018 TRU Staffing Partners Cybersecurity and e-Discovery Scholarship has been extended through March 11. The extension is due to the influx of applications that came in during the final few days of the application period; the company wants to ensure that anyone who wants to apply will have extra opportunity to do so.

Additionally, TRU Staffing Partners today announces the 2018 Scholarship Advisory Board. The Board consists of industry experts and thought leaders who are coming together to anonymously select the recipients for training in the legal community.

The 2018 Advisory Board includes, but is not limited to:

  • Allan Crawford, Litigation Solutions Manager at Nelson Mullins
  • Daniel Torba, Head of e-Discovery Services US Region at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer US LLP
  • Dave Christensen, IT Director
  • Kara Buzga, Paralegal Manager at Mayer Brown

  • Doug Brush - Director, Cyber Investigations at Kivu Consulting, Inc.

“I am honored to participate, again, on the TRU Staffing Partners Scholarship Program Advisory Board,” states Buzga, who has been a consistent board member for several years. “This innovative, forward thinking program leads the industry by providing key opportunities to professionals who want to bridge gaps in switching career paths and/or learn relevant skills. It is a win-win idea.”

The program, which is designed to foster training and education for job candidates in the security and legal technology industries, is in its seventh year of operation and has awarded over 80 scholarships, totalling more than $100K in free education and certification. TRU’s 2018 portfolio of partners and their certification, training and education is more expansive and voluminous than ever before.

“Our board consists of an esteemed and diverse group of practitioners and hiring managers in both e-discovery and cybersecurity who will help pair the right training and education offerings to the right applicants,” states Jared Coseglia, founder and CEO of TRU Staffing Partners. “All semi-finalists will be reviewed by multiple board members and scholarships will be awarded on the merit of the applicant’s essay, professional background, passion, and aptitude for growth. We could not ask for a more capable or enthusiastic group of professionals to choose our winners! Thank you to all of our Board members who have generously donated their time and talent, as well as to our partners who are generously offering this wide array of certifications and training opportunities!”

The TRU Scholarship Advisory Board will review the applications anonymously, rank them and match them with the best fit offerings. The recipients will be announced on or around April 1, 2018. Education and training will be executed before the end of 2018.
