Our client, an award-winning IT and cybersecurity consultancy firm, is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Sales Engineer to join their Cyber Risk Services Division. In this role, the Senior Cybersecurity Sales Engineer will work both independently as well as with other account teams in a pre-sales capacity to help position consulting solutions and services with their customers. The sales engineer also needs to articulate and demonstrate a broad understanding of multiple security disciplines such as cloud security, identity management, threat detection, incident response, attack surface management, and risk management. The preferred candidate will have a strong foundation with a passion to learn new cybersecurity program strategies and techniques, as well as technologies, with a willingness to explore emerging technologies through the venture market. Responsibilities:
  • Provides a cybersecurity division sales focal point supporting current, and developing new clients in the California region for pre-sales activities which include but are not limited to:
    • Understanding the customer cybersecurity and business requirements
    • Strategic solution selling
    • Participation in conference calls, onsite visits, and video discussions
    • Solution demonstrations and proof of concept leadership
    • Business solution proposal creation
  • Coordinates, leads, and delivers sales overlay support for our cyber risk services
  • Coordinates, leads, and delivers cybersecurity engineering pre-sales support
  • Confirms proposed solutions meet client requirements and assists account team with technical qualification during the qualification process
  • Conducts product analysis to assist in the sales cycle
  • Leads and supports the sales process, to include prospecting, pre-sales, proposal, contracting and customer success
  • Supports other regions and practices with pre-sales for areas in which you hold subject matter knowledge
  • Maintains security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, CASP, C|CISO)
  • Attends regular internal meetings onsite and remote
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering or related field
  • Some years working experience in security sales engineering activities to mid to large enterprise customers
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the security industry. In-depth knowledge of multiple security solution areas (security strategy, GRC, network security, SASE, CASB, SOAR, and UEBA)
  • Proven track record of contributing to the sales cycle and running opportunities from start to finish
  • Possesses presentation ready knowledge and product expertise in key security technologies and solutions
  • Possesses good technical knowledge of security architecture, network infrastructure, UNIX, Windows, application security, cloud security, and identity management
  • Experience in preparing business solution proposals and provides corporate presentation to senior management
  • Possesses familiarity with security software solutions like firewall, intrusion prevention, encryption, data leak prevention, and data protection
  • Possesses experience with channel enablement, product/services evangelism, and experience with managing proof of concepts
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated relationship building skills both with internal and client stakeholders
  • Ability to balance patience and tenacity to engage with existing clients new to our security services and new clients
  • Interest in educating non-cyber account team members on security challenges and market offerings
  • High regard for quality and accuracy in client sales materials and supporting deliverables
  • Ability to support multiple account teams and pursue opportunities simultaneously
  • Team player with a positive attitude and ability to adapt in a fast paced, startup environment
  • This is a client facing role. The ideal candidate will be located on the West coast and will be expected to travel 20% with a potential of up to 50% post-pandemic based on client project requirements. Due to demands of our clients, we are presently implementing a COVID-19 vaccination policy that requires vaccinations for all client-facing employees.
