Our client, a U.S.- based law firm with a unique culture and one of the highest per partner profit averages in the Am Law 100, is seeking two experienced Litigation Support Specialists to join their team in London. In this department, Specialists handle the full EDRM life cycle directly with attorneys, consultants and technicians. This person will be responsible for handling daily support of e-discovery functions including data processing, hosting, productions, project management and overseeing review teams. Strong communication skills and willingness to participate at the highest level, providing insights and advice on e-discovery matters will be required along with the ability to work autonomously. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude and ability to pick up new tools quickly. Experience with Viewpoint is desired, but experience with Relativity, iCONECT, Nuix or similar e-discovery tools is required. Send resumes to [email protected]

The litigation support professional will be responsible for promoting the policies and procedures of the department and ensuring the effective utilization of current and future litigation support technologies, case-specific information management techniques, processes and tools used by litigation teams. Viewpoint skills are not required, though desired; experience with any standard industry tool such as Relativity, iCONECT, Nuix or Recommind Axcelerate is acceptable. This position includes making recommendations to the firm’s lawyers and clients for case support strategies and resources, developing litigation support and discovery approaches, assisting with cost estimates and interfacing with e-discovery vendors providing out-sourced services and more. In this position, the Specialist will be directly assisting with other LTAS department cases and work efforts.

Position Description:
  • Advises firm lawyers and paralegals at case inception to determine the appropriate level and nature of LTAS involvement, specifically relating to the EDRM processes, including but not limited to document and information management, collections, processing, hosting and production  
  • Serves as project lead on assigned cases and will actively work on Viewpoint processing and review platforms; performing data loads into database applications, conducting database inquiries, productions, quality review and developing reports for legal teams
  • Coordinates with lawyers, paralegals, and other LTAS members, and vendors to ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient management of document review and production
  • Conducts and otherwise participates in the training, coaching, and mentoring of lawyers and paralegals at all levels in the best and most efficient use of the LTAS supported software tools and techniques
  • Works with Managers and LTAS Director, as well as other LTAS members on staffing cases, projects, project plans and budgets for case support and long-term firm initiatives; stays current with technology and related industry processes as necessary; escalates any and all issues as appropriate
  • Service-oriented, willing to travel and work additional hours as necessary including weekends
  • Performs other duties as directed by LTAS or Firm management
  • Excellent understanding of the litigation (EDRM) processes and litigation support as well as e-discovery management concepts, procedures, and systems
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, technical/ problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Significant experience with Viewpoint platforms is desired, but experience with industry standard tools is acceptable, including Relativity, iCONECT, Nuix, Recommind Axcelerate, etc.; SQL knowledge preferred; excellent facility with MS Office and other various common litigation support database software and vendors
  • Significant experience in the litigation support or paralegal area of an Am Law 100 law firm or similar legal environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team; the ability to work on multiple projects in a stressful environment with strict deadlines; flexibility to work overtime on short notice and ability to travel is necessary
  • Clearance of Firm standard background checks are required
  • A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university, Computer Science or similar degree preferred; paralegal and vendor experience a plus
