Our client, a top law firm with offices in New York and Dallas, is seeking an e-Discovery Specialist! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing electronic discovery/litigation support team within a boutique law firm. This position is responsible for supporting the firm’s professionals in all aspects of litigation support and e-discovery processes, including providing project management, Electronically Stored Information (ESI) intake, data analysis, early case assessment, document production, and third-party vendor management.   • Performs administrative functions associated with the day to day use of litigation support software eDiscovery databases, including but not limited to: database creation and maintenance; importing images, data and transcripts; searching and exporting data; document scanning, OCR and coding; and document productions
  • Processes and publishes of electronically stored information for cases
  • Assists in the preparation of documents and exhibits for trial
  • Receives and logs incoming media; maintains chain of custody and other tracking documentation for media and data, both received and produced
  • Contributes to internal process development, preparing workflows and other documentation
  • Possesses the ability to work overtime hours, including on nights and/or weekends, on a per project/case basis
  • Possesses problem-solving skills
  • Works directly with Case Managers and Legal Assistants as part of the matter team
  • Assists with troubleshooting of technical issues within e-discovery platform
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the discovery industries best practices and new regulation through training, certification completion and networking


  • Administrative capabilities within e-discovery software platforms within
  • Experience in using text editing tools such as Ultraedit or TextPad
  • Experience with handling data transfers
  • Experience with data encryption using Bitlocker or other encryption tools
  • Experience with advanced Adobe Pro capabilities such as bookmarking and document merging/splitting, and OCR
  • Ability to setup, connect and adjust laptops, projectors, monitors and speakers for presentations and trial support
  • Experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, and SQL for data manipulation and parsing projects


  • An understanding of the litigation lifecycle and electronic discovery/document review processes, procedures and practices is required
  • Experience in a litigation support, electronic discovery and/or technology support environment, preferably with a law firm
  • Must have experience performing Administrator and Case Manager functions in Axcelerate 5 (Recommind) and/or Data Processing and Review and Analysis – Advanced Axcelerate 5 Certifications
  • Experience with providing end-user support on all Litigation Support applications, including but not limited assisting with end-user training
  • Experience with Relativity, Nuix, Concordance, IPRO and other applicable e-discovery software platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree, or commensurate experience with CEDS or other relevant certifications
  • Thorough knowledge of the e-discovery process, including evolving standards created through case law, rulemaking, and groups such as EDRM and The Sedona Conference
  • Attention to detail and able to exercise good judgment
  • Strong communication, coordination and organization skills
  • Able to work effectively with people at all levels both within and outside of the Firm
  • Trial Director or Sanction software experience along with trial support experience, including war room setup/support and ‘hot seat’ support
