Litigation Support Analyst/Two Shifts 9-5 CT and 11-7 CT (LAW FIRM)

Our client, one of the largest corporate law firms in the U.S., is seeking two Litigation Support Analysts to join their Chicago team. In this role, the Analyst will be responsible for assisting with implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting all aspects of software applications and network systems identified for litigation support needs. The Litigation Support Analyst is responsible for performing and troubleshooting all processes handled by the Litigation Support Operations department as well as recommending atypical solutions for identified ligation support needs at the firm. Ideal candidate will have strong Relativity and MS Excel experience. Two shifts available: 9am-5pm CST and 11am-7pm CST. Send resumes to [email protected].

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides administrator level support for litigation support applications and hardware; this includes the ability to recommend, develop, maintain and troubleshoot databases and other litigation support software applications
  • Coordinates with the Litigation Support Operations Manager and Project Managers to develop solutions for complex discovery management issues
  • Loads and manipulates data to/from litigation support software applications, perform data normalization, global edits, overlay or merge data into existing records, index databases, and build document productions
  • Quality checks data and image files using litigation support applications such as Relativity or other data analysis software
  • Creates, maintains and troubleshoots litigation support software applications, databases and networks
  • Coordinates with the Litigation Support Operations Manager to establish best practices for litigation support activities and workflows
  • Assists the Litigation Support Operations Manager in developing internal project plans and requests for proposals; assists in coordinating timeframes and deliverables for Litigation Support Operations projects
  • Assists the Litigation Support Operations Manager, and Project Managers with automated litigation support services, researching new and emerging litigation support and case management technologies
  • Practices Quality Assurance and perform Quality control measures on all processes performed
  • Other projects as assigned
  • Flexible to work overtime as required
Required Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in CMIS, CS or Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of litigation support technology including database applications (Relativity, Concordance, Ipro, Summation), e-discovery processing applications (LAW PreDiscovery, Nuix, eCapture), forensic collection applications (FTK, EnCase), database applications (MS Access, SQL), Text editors, and directory comparison tools
  • Work experience at a large law firm or litigation support vendor
  • Working knowledge of internet-based ASP’s, Extranets, document repositories, network and operating system concepts and applications
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a cross functional team in a production environment
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the litigation process, from initial filing through trial, for effective communication with Project Managers and legal teams
  • Good problem-solving ability, verbal and written communication skills, work under strict deadlines in a legal environment and the ability to interact with all levels of staff and attorneys
  • Certifications such as Relativity Certified Administrator, Certified Computer Examiner, or MCSE
  • Scripting experience with database and spreadsheet applications: MS Access, SQL, MS Excel
  • Experience coordinating vendor contracts and projects.
  • Support of trial, arbitration and mediation technology requirements
