Senior Analyst, e-Discovery, 11-8PM PST (CONSULTANCY)

Our client, a leading professional services firm specialized in investigations, intelligence, and risk management, is seeking an e-Discovery Solutions Analyst to join their West Coast team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing application and review support for Relativity, Nuix, and other industry-standard processing applications. The senior analyst will liaise across multiple internal divisions, including production, technical solution engineers and project management. The analyst will be responsible for troubleshooting e-discovery applications, increasing efficient workflows and performing all data analysis. This role, serving as a member of the client support team, will require strong experience aggregating and evaluating data points and metrics. The ability to recommend and drive process improvements externally to clients and internally across the organization to maximize system resources and efficiencies is required. The background and ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting global clients to meet deadlines is necessary. Individuals with any SQL knowledge will be considered first; strong written and verbal communication accompanied with excellent customer service skills is required. Essential Job Functions
  • Supports and trains e-Discovery Production team in technical execution, work with Project Managers and Production Specialists and Analysts to ensure projects are on track to meet deadlines
  • Assists with troubleshooting requests from team members
  • Works with the technical engineering team to design or create custom scripts, queries and tools that can be standardized and rolled out to the department
  • Acts as point person for custom requests, and an escalation point for issues found during processing or review stage
  • Consults with Project Managers and clients regarding best practices for data handling including in depth data analysis to workflows in line with best practices and procedures
  • Applies analytical skills and leverage existing methodologies to various client situations and create unique, customized solutions to meet shifting client needs
  • Aggregates and evaluates multiple data points and metrics to recommend and drive procedural and process changes for improved workflow, quality and processes improvements to maximize system resources and efficiencies as applicable, including prioritization of projects running simultaneously
  • Assists with evaluating and training the team on new tools and procedures
  • Independently, under minimal supervision, manages/performs multiple complex initiatives of limited scope (or segments of a large project)
  • Creates and QC’s detailed work plans outlining necessary steps that need to be taken for the successful execution of jobs
  • Maintains strong communication with peers at headquarters
  • Provides coverage for team members to include database support and/or project management
Requirements
  • Strong professional and leadership skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of varying source data types and understanding the nuanced issues and workflows associated with specific data types
  • Excellent customer service sills and ability to maintain effective relationships, both within the company and with clients
  • Detail oriented with ability to multitask, prioritize and organize under pressure
  • Willingness to jump into other areas as needed
  • Willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and to rapidly changing requirements
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment in order to meet deadlines
  • Adherence to processes and procedures while remaining results-oriented, with ability to “think outside the box”
  • Some technical e-discovery experience in a law firm, corporation, or e-discovery company
  • Advanced understanding of search syntax and techniques from industry search engines such as dtSearch and Lucene
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Track record for bringing critical thinking to technology and workflow processes
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot issues, drive technical initiatives independently, and provide training to team members on e-discovery applications and technical solutions
  • SQL knowledge a plus
Education Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Work Experience Required
  • Some experience providing e-discovery services
  • Relativity experience is a must
  • Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA), Relativity Analytics Specialist, Law, Nuix or other e-discovery support platform experience is preferred
