e-Discovery Project Manager (LAW FIRM)

Our client, a global law firm, is seeking an e-Discovery Project Manager. The e-Discovery Project Manager will be responsible for all technical aspects of e-discovery projects for assigned clients and matters. This role will serve as the primary point of contact throughout the e-discovery lifecycle. The e-Discovery Project Manager should apply in-depth technology and best practices while consulting with case teams to effectively develop and apply technical strategies. Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact and liaison for eDiscovery and litigation support issues between legal teams, eDiscovery Resource Management group, technical staff, vendors, and discovery consultants to ensure proper communication between all parties
  • Develop reputation as a go-to eDiscovery expert amongst case teams. Drive eDiscovery strategy by synergizing legal and technical strategies
  • Consult with client's General Counsel and their Information Technology group regarding technical and logistical issues related to eDiscovery
  • Develop cost estimates and advise on maximizing efficiencies and cost reductions
  • Oversee the creation of statistical reports providing information on collection, filtering, processing, review, and production
  • Design workflows and oversee managed review projects to provide efficient and effective workflows while providing daily reports
  • Ensure that annual billable hours expectation is met; proactively and strategically promote internal business development to grow one's book of business

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum four years of experience in eDiscovery consulting required
  • Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Proficient with industry analytics solutions, e.g. Relativity Analytics, Brainspace, NexLP. Consult on implementation of TAR and advance analytics to present data trends and efficiencies in workflow
  • Working knowledge of FCRP, information governance and network infrastructure preferred

  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication when responding to internal and external requests promptly to serve a client or Firm need
  • Ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects and flexibility in shifting focus
  • Strong ability for task management and identifying priorities for conflicting tasks
  • Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities, and resolving issues proactively with minimal supervision
  • Excellent influencing skills with technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrated mastery in planning and facilitating meetings
