Our client, a sophisticated and growing law firm focused wholly in the data privacy sector, is seeking to add experienced privacy attorneys to its rapidly expanding, thriving national team. TRU’s client provides exposure to full-spectrum data privacy expertise including incident response and crisis management, vendor compliance, as well as operational privacy leadership and advisory expertise as the go-to privacy resource for its clients. This position is fully remote and is catered toward collaborative, experienced attorneys with at least some hands-on practice in the data privacy sector. This client has a superior reputation in the privacy sector and provides a top-tier training program to acclimate attorneys to their fast-paced environment. Position Description:
  • In this role, the attorney will work in a highly collaborative, team environment to provide legal counsel to organizations investigating and responding to data privacy and cybersecurity incidents
  • The attorney will collect information needed to understand the issue and scope of each event, engage and direct experts needed to appropriately investigate and respond to the incident and communicate to regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies and other third-parties as needed while advising clients throughout the investigation
  • This attorney will analyze the legal and regulatory framework applicable to the organization and incident and support the organization’s disclosure and documentation of its impact by the event Due to the unpredictable nature of cybersecurity events and our commitment to rapid response, all Partners and Associates participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide crisis management support to our clients outside normal business hours
  • The ideal candidate will have membership in good standing with any state Bar (Pennsylvania preferred), a curiosity to learn more about cybersecurity law and an enthusiastic and team-oriented attitude
  • Exceptional analytic, writing, communication and preparation skills, plus focused attention to detail are key to performing well in our highly responsive environment
  • Candidates should demonstrate initiative and the ability to independently maintain their own caseload
  • Significant legal practice experience, with preference given to those who have data privacy, healthcare and regulatory compliance experience
