Junior Forensic Consultant (VENDOR)

Our client, one of the largest discovery management practices in the world, has openings for a Junior and Senior Digital Forensic Consultant. In these roles, the Forensic Consultants will work with the U.S. Director of Forensics and assist in developing innovative solutions as well as processing, analyzing and interpreting client data. Strong interpersonal skills are as important as technical skills as these are client-facing roles working with clients on site with a large international presence. Strong knowledge of EnCase, FTK and Cellebrite is a must. The ideal candidates should be comfortable traveling two to three times a month. Send resumes to [email protected].

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collects and analyzes electronic data from a variety of electronic media, including desktops, laptops, cell phones, tablets, and cloud-based data such as Gmail, Hotmail, and iCloud
  • Provides consultation to clients regarding data preservation and defensible deletion practices
  • Deploys off-the-shelf and proprietary data collection, analysis, and reporting tools to execute against data collection and analysis project plans
  • Constantly communicates with members of the company, outside vendors, clients and staff
  • Creates and provides reports relating to evidence handling as requested
  • Develops ad-hoc data reports and analyses
  • Provides data and quality control for all client projects
  • Receives, documents, stores, transfers, and returns evidence for forensic analysis and production
  • Maintains inventory control procedures for all evidence and oversees the release, destruction and subsequent documentation of same
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of applications used for data management and storage
  • Works as part of a team to provide technical solutions to automate processes and functions to improve data storage and retrieval processes
  • Works within the boundaries of an overall practice methodology and blueprint

Education and Qualifications:
  • Experience with e-Discovery Forensic Consulting to include a wide variety of clients in a range of industries
  • Experience with development and implementation of operation documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures and Manuals and Visio Workflows
  • Experience with MAC forensic tools for purpose of forensic preservation and analysis using tools such as MacQuisition Recon Imager or similar
  • Experience working in the legal field or digital forensics required
  • Prior exposure to forensic and e-discovery tools such as EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, Relativity
  • EnCase or Certified Computer Examiner certification a plus, but not required
  • Some experience in client relationship development a plus, but not required
  • Any experience in forensic analysis such as report writing a plus
  • Expert witness testimony such as declarations, affidavits, court testimony a plus, but not required
  • Database experience in a professional services industry, proficiency in SQL a plus
