If you are a proven SaaS sales executive looking for another bite of the apple who is excited about the innovation and disruption technology is having on the world of insurance and fraud detection, this role is for you! Our client, a high growth Canadian-based start-up is seeking its first U.S.-based Enterprise Sales Executive to join their growing team! The successful candidate will have experience selling into the insurance space, specifically fraud detection and data analytics software directly to Heads of Claim and other C-level executives. The Enterprise Sales Executive will be responsible for driving net-new revenue only as the first US-based sales executive for this insurtech company; expertise in hunting, cultivating, and closing new business in a start-up environment is crucial. They must have experience driving complex sales cycles from engagement to pilot to production. The ideal candidate will have experience engaging potential sales targets in a consultative style, targeting C-suite level buyers and collaborating with internal champions to oversee the entirety of the sales process. Domain expertise and a proven network within the insurance space, particularly life and health insurance, is required. An entrepreneurial mindset and experience selling in a start-up environment is essential to be successful in this innovative organization; the Enterprise Account Executive must have high energy and be results-driven! Job Description

  • Hunts, cultivates and closes new business opportunities for a dynamic insurtech company, focusing specifically on the disability insurance space and other related insurance lines (US-based carriers).
  • Drives sales opportunities through a typically complex enterprise sales cycle, from engagement to pilot to production
  • Combines domain knowledge, personal professional network and prospecting skills with self-generated leads to build and manage a sales pipeline
  • Engages in consultative selling efforts with C-level buyers (Executive sponsors could be COO, CFO, Head of Claims, Head of Group or Individual Insurance) requiring a clear understanding of the client’s business, the opportunity and how our solution effectively address it via an ROI-based dialogue
  • Collaborates with adjacent functions (Claims Operations, Data Analytics, Investigations) and oversee the selling process ensuring the right knowledge/skills are present at the right time
  • Represents the company at conferences, educational forums, and other industry events

Qualifications

  • Significant experience selling complex SaaS or technology solutions to insurance carriers in a closing role
  • Proven hunter who has consistently met or beaten quota
  • Experience within an Insurtech is an asset
  • Domain expertise and existing professional network within the life & health insurance or other related insurance lines (accident benefits, workers comp, credit insurance)
  • Familiarity and comfort selling across stakeholders at multiple levels in an organization, communicating well with everyone from the business champion to the product user to the C-level executive
  • Can confidently and persuasively tell a compelling story and own the room
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop an ambitious tactical sales plan
  • Provide regular updates to senior executives on progress made along the sales plan with focus on KPIs
  • High-energy and results-driven personality
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set, being comfortable operating within a fast-growing technology company environment
