Managing Director, Data Privacy (CONSULTANCY)

Our client, one of the top ten consulting firms in the technology vertical with stock prices at record highs for three consecutive years, is growing their Data Privacy consulting practice with experienced talent looking for faster growth in the space. The Managing Director will lead and deliver high quality client engagements across the privacy domain and lead the creation and implementation of data privacy programs at existing and new clients. The ideal candidate will possess deep experience in risk management and control implementation efforts and lead privacy maturity assessments and risk assessments. This level role will have a quota requirement and will be expected to originate revenue, develop proposals and pitch materials and business cases. This role requires a deep understanding of global data privacy regulations (GDPR, HPAA, CCPA, etc.) as well as market technology. Credentials in the privacy or security domain (e.g. CIPP, CIPT, CIPM, CISSP) desired. Undergraduate degree required. Tremendous opportunity for rapid growth internally for the ambitious-minded. Primary Duties

  • Leads and delivers high-quality client engagements across the privacy domain
  • Leads the creation and implementation of data privacy programs at existing and new clients (e.g. Strategic management – strategy, visioning, scope and structure to operational execution - DPIAs execution, Data Subject Rights request response, consent management)
  • Possesses deep experience in risk management and control implementation efforts and leading privacy maturity assessments and risk assessments
  • Develops methodologies to be used in privacy engagements/initiatives/projects and contributes to the development of new methodologies
  • Leads data breach response planning and playbook development
  • Manages creation/editing of final client deliverables
  • Develops proposals, pitch materials and business cases
  • Builds and cultivates client relationships while expanding our client portfolio
  • Works collaboratively with internal team members and external client stakeholders to deliver high-quality work product  
  • Mentors and develops junior team members

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
  • Extensive experience in data privacy or other relevant experience
  • Credentials in the privacy or security domain (e.g. CIPP, CIPT, CIPM, CISSP)
  • Strong comprehension of global data privacy risk management and regulatory compliance
  • Outstanding client service in demanding, deadline-driven situations
  • Knowledge of privacy enabling technology and broader enterprise IT frameworks
  • Juris Doctorate or other relevant Master’s Degree is a plus
