Our client, one of the world’s leading law firms, is seeking an e-Discovery Analyst in their New York office. The e-Discovery Analyst will identify and understand client needs, assist with the execution of recommended technical solutions and assist with the delivery of an effective solution throughout the life of a matter. The Analyst will be responsible for processing data (in Relativity and/or Nuix), running searches across the Relativity workspace and creating review batches and coding layouts in Relativity daily. This role will be attorney-facing, and as such the ideal candidate will possess the ability to consult and persuade attorneys on best practices for ESI processing and hosting. Most of this role, however, is technical and computer-facing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares saved searches
  • Processes data (in Relativity and/or Nuix)
  • Loads data to Relativity
  • Creates review batches and codes layouts in Relativity
  • Prepares productions and exports from Relativity
  • Liaises with other team members to ensure that correct solutions and processes are implemented at a cost-effective level and work is delivered on time
  • Participates in post case reviews
  • Assists with the reporting, billing, and other team administration tasks

Skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • Some e-discovery experience including data processing, loading, searching, and general database administration in either a law firm or service provider environment
  • Must possess exceptional communication skills that support effective collaboration with legal teams and e-discovery vendors
  • Experience with e-discovery technology, specifically with Relativity and Nuix, with an emphasis on data processing, data ingestion, database setup, searching and productions
  • Experience preparing and delivering training to end users on supported systems including in person, via telephone, email, and screen shares
  • Familiarity with advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUPS, Pivots, IF conditions, macros) or scripting languages (SQL) would be a distinct advantage
  • Undergraduate degree desirable or equivalent technical, computer science-based training
