Our client, a leading e-discovery service provider, is currently seeking a Senior Director/Vice President to oversee ESI Operations in EMEA. This role will be responsible for leading a team throughout the region and partnering with senior leaders throughout the global business to execute on client needs. This person will also be responsible for executing on operational strategy including cloud, department strategy and innovation. Job Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of talented operations analysists, managers and directors in the UK, Poland, Germany and Switzerland
  • Serves as a key member of the EMEA leadership team to ensure business success throughout the region
  • Designs and implements change management where appropriate in order to retain, grow and train the European Operations team
  • Oversees all Operations career management – this includes personnel management activities for associates, including hiring and professional development
  • Owns the Operations strategy and execution for all EMEA accounts and projects including but not limited to:
    • Cloud technology
    • Business process improvement and workflow/operational efficiencies
    • Ensures effective control of all aspects of a project from initial planning through final production
    • Directs multiple project teams serving numerous clients while ensuring the completion of all work
    • Departmental strategic planning / horizon scanning
    • Develops meaningful metrics and value reporting strategies
    • In partnership with IT and Innovation, analyzes propriety and third-party technology platforms and services to be augmented within the EMEA Operational team
    • Oversees development of project plans
    • Balances overall client requirements
  • Drives overall client satisfaction through effective oversight, expectation deliverables and a mix of internal, client and external reference points
  • Collaborates with internal colleagues in EMEA and globally, and with clients, in order to establish best practices and address any prioritization issues that may arise across projects; and
  • Develops and implements the winning operations strategies to drive client success in order to achieve business growth and beat targets in each of the nominated markets
  • Delivers product feedback to operational leaders to ensure the voice of the customer is recognized
  • Develops and maintains a deep understanding of market competitors, knowledge and trends, including evolving technologies, client needs, expectations and opportunities, shifts in the competitive landscape, operational efficiencies, and opportunities, and competitive challenges
  • Reviews and refines operational performance measurements, and track performance against those measurements to meet strategic objectives – primarily around quality and efficiency
  • Actively participates in client interaction and continuously challenge the direct profitability of key accounts and make sure that they are correctly managed

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Degree educated with a 2(i) + (equivalent) at a leading university – an MBA would be an advantage
  • A background in management consulting would be preferable
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, an ability to inspire, drive urgency and carry significant gravitas whilst remaining calm and focused when under significant pressure
  • Results orientated with extensive experience in operational delivery – must include a consistent and demonstrable track record of exceeding delivery expectations in a highly competitive market
  • Significant and progressive business leadership experience – building and managing high performing teams across multiple countries to meet and exceed delivery expectations
  • Highly organized with excellent time-management skills and an ability to execute initiatives within the team, the company, and with customers
  • First class communication and presentation skills in order to build deep and long terms relationships with colleagues and clients to help drive revenue
  • Resourceful and responsive to change – thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment working outside of normal office hours
  • Ability to travel as and when required
