Director of Partnerships, Legal Business Solutions (VENDOR)

Our client, the world’s leading enterprise legal services provider, is seeking a Director of Partnerships in a new Legal Business Solutions division! This seasoned professional will help support the law department consulting and sales organizations by aligning business and technology plans and then confirming the right solutions are being used to meet the client’s needs. The Director will be responsible for growing and maintaining key strategic partnerships with established accounts in the legal vertical. The ideal candidate will have past experience in channel partnerships and building relationships with third-party vendors, deep subject matter expertise in cutting-edge industry tools, and will hold a passion for researching and driving market trends. REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES:

  • BA/BS required, MBA, JD or other relevant advanced degree preferred
  • Significant experience, including some experience managing channel partnerships
  • Recognized as an industry leader with a strong market presence
  • Mastery of process analytics and design with related operational experience
  • Tech savvy, with strong knowledge of relevant industry platforms and tools, plus a strong network
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills with the ability and credibility to foster client trust and buy-in
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities simultaneously
  • Team player with proven ability to work collaboratively both internally and externally
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior team members
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contributes to development of the strategic direction and business model for the Legal Business Solutions practice
  • Establishes and implements process, criteria, and controls for selection, management and performance of channel partners
  • Strengthens current channel partner relationships and actively work to build and manage new strategic partners
  • Develops new approaches for leveraging channel partnerships to increase the effectiveness of consulting services, maximizing the benefit to the company and its clients
  • Enhances brand recognition and reputation via market awareness activities, including speaking opportunities, white papers and articles
  • Identifies opportunities to integrate and leverage breadth of technology services, both proprietary and third-party
  • Drives development of new business and the expansion of existing channel accounts
  • Provides leadership on channel partnerships and manage day-to-day interactions; ensures the quality of third-party deliverables meet company standards and client expectations
  • Maintains knowledge of cutting-edge industry tools and trends in matter management, records management, contracts software, e-billing, document management  
  • Oversees the deployment of new technology and process within client organizations ensuring channel partner delivery is meeting team and client needs
  • Manages and develops Analyst and Manager-level team members; fosters an environment of continuous learning and development
