Our client, a leading international law firm, seeks an Information Governance Supervisor for their Boston office. In this role, the IG Supervisor will oversee the workflow and issue resolution of the local office information governance department. This position ensures effective departmental operations by training, implementing and enforcing IG policies and procedures. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of records management system software; familiarity with federal, state, and local records storage and retention laws and regulations; strong written and verbal communication skills; and must have strong organizational skills.   • Supervises and manages the workflow and performance of the Information Governance team members, including participation in the annual staff performance evaluation process
  • Trains Firm personnel on IG policies, procedures and technology
  • Administers the matter mobility processes including but not limited to collecting client materials, coordinating the attorney review process, updating the RMS and tracking all transfer materials
  • Supervises departmental projects, including coordinating resources developing project reports and communicating status updates
  • Oversees the processing and auditing of file encryptions for the creation and duplication of external media electronic media processing
  • Collaborates with the Information Systems department to migrate data and correct discrepancies
  • Troubleshoots record management issues and recommends process improvements to the RMS


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Several years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Knowledge of records management system software
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local records storage and retention laws and regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
