e-Discovery Analyst (LAW FIRM)

Our client, one of the world’s leading law firms, is seeking an e-Discovery Analyst in their New York office. The e-Discovery Analyst will identify and understand client needs, assisting with the execution of recommended technical solutions and supporting with the delivery of an effective solution throughout the life of a matter. The Analyst will be responsible for processing data (in Relativity and/or Nuix), running searches across Relativity workspace and creating review batches and coding layouts in Relativity daily. This role will be attorney-facing, and as such the ideal candidate will possess the ability to consult and persuade attorneys on best practices for ESI processing and hosting. Most of this role, however, is technical and computer-facing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the integrity of client and firm data, including evidence handling, processing, and data tracking
  • Reviews database administration
  • Processes data (in Relativity and/or Nuix)
  • Ingests data into Relativity
  • Runs searches across Relativity workspaces
  • Creates review batches and coding layouts in Relativity
  • Builds conceptual and structural analytics indices
  • Builds search indices
  • Provides Relativity training to legal teams that aligns with best practices
  • Prepares productions and exports from Relativity
  • Collaborates with team members to ensure solutions are implemented on time and within budget
  • Instructs and manages external e-Discovery vendors, when appropriate
  • Executes with extraordinary attention to detail and consistency
  • Demonstrates adherence to quality control processes
  • Ensures tasks are executed in accordance with project guidelines
  • Reports on the progress of assigned tasks in a concise and timely way
  • Participates in post case reviews
  • Assists with the reporting, billing, and other team administration tasks

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Some experience processing data in Nuix or Relativity inside of a law firm, e-discovery vendor, or consultancy
  • A thorough understanding of e-discovery deliverables including load files, images, natives, text files, etc.
  • Familiarity with the Relativity Script Library
  • Knowledge of the EDRM and the matter lifecycle including the ability to communicate about both to technical and non-technical teams
  • Knowledge of relational databases including SQL and MS Access
  • A solutions-oriented, "can-do" approach to problem solving and service delivery
  • Ability to prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • The ability to quickly identify a problem and develop sound, defensible solutions
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A four your college degree or equivalent experience
  • RPMS, RCP, RCU, or RCA preferred
