Executive Director (CONSULTANCY)

This role will be responsible for driving awareness and subscription-based sales of educational training and certification for e-discovery. The Executive Director is responsible for the planning and development of all editorial content used for all public events, as well as all online content related to our client’s programs. This exemplary individual has a strong command of language, knowledge in all applicable fields, ability to create and sustain crucial relationships with colleagues, as well as external contacts and associations. Such abilities are expected to create opportunities for increased market and industry visibility. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Directs Editorial team and collaborates with strategic partners with clarification of expectations
  • Works closely with management team, assimilating unit initiatives to support and measure department success
  • Contributes to the creation and development of BRAND chapters and provide direction for Chapter coordinator.
  • Administers BRAND market research, remaining cognizant of environment and industry trends
  • Plans and executes all BRAND conferences and events by identifying and soliciting speakers, creating program content and orchestrating panels
  • Leads advisory board meetings and quarterly calls
  • Researches industry opportunities — law schools, law firms, LPOs, staffing firms, etc.
  • Assist in business development efforts, including client tailored content
  • Maintains and improves structure of BRAND certification study manual and exam
  • Responsible for recruiting and supervising a committee of experts to conduct periodic reviews of the BRAND exam
  • Builds, solicits and/or edits all news, articles and content on website, and in members-only email distributions
  • Contributes in content creation of, and host weekly webcasts
  • Creates and maintains "membership health" dashboard
  • Applies troubleshooting methods when service issues arise
  • Provides recommendations to marketing for select efforts and copyedits

  • Dependability - is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance

  • Relevancy- remains current on necessary social media sites, considers ideas for further market exposure


  • Bachelor degree. MBA Preferred      
  • Management or Director level experience working in Journalism and/or Communication
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex business and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to escalated inquiries or complaints from BRAND clients or members
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid, evidence-based conclusions and provide recommendations
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams; ability to work well in groups and across functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present recommendations and plans to management with poise and professional effectiveness
  • Experience with creating, evaluating and modifying editorial content through various technological programs
  • Experience using Google Analytics, WordPress, GoToMeeting, Microsoft suite, etc.
