A top international e-discovery service provider is in search of a Review Manager at their headquarters office in Chicago. This role is ideal for someone at a large vendor looking to work for a smaller team that is building and growing a division. In this role, the Review Manager will help oversee, manage, and execute document review services; provide daily supervision of the document review team including recruiting, staffing, training, and providing performance feedback; and work closely with clients to develop review protocols, conduct briefing calls, and provide daily reporting. The ideal candidate will have deep managed review experience and strong project management skills. Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise multiple simultaneous document review teams 
  • Ensuring teams have adequate instructions and understand briefings
  • Participating in client briefings and calibration exercises
  • Liaising with clients on an ongoing basis to seek further instructions as necessary
  • Checking quality of reviewers’ work on an ongoing basis
  • Supervising, developing and supporting junior team members
  • Conduct second level document review and quality control as necessary to ensure that a high-quality product is being delivered to clients
  • Act as lead point of contact for reviewers and clients alike, addressing questions ranging from aspects of the review protocol to the speed/reliability of review platform
  • Attend at client meetings, participate in client calls and produce of final review reports
  • Report on progress to clients including producing dashboards according to clients’ requirements (in conjunction with Project Managers)
  • Assist with internal reporting as needed
  • Assist with staffing and recruiting duties including:
    • Building maintaining internal recruiting database
    • Interviewing review candidates
    • Staffing project review teams
    • Producing budgets and costs estimates

Job Requirements

  • A few years of managed document review experience required, e-discovery project management experience a plus, and years post licensure in a US jurisdiction
  • Prior experience leading and managing a team a plus
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work with geographically and professionally diverse teams
  • Significant experience with Relativity and other industry standard tools required
  • Juris Doctor (JD) required
