Our client is looking for a Litigation Support Manager for their LA office. In this role the PM will be responsible for coordinating and managing litigation support and technology needs of case team and clients across multiple matters. Ideal candidate will be proactive, responsive, with strong problem solving and technical skills. Project Manager will have a strong understanding of the full cycle of the EDRM, be client-facing as well as be able to process data. Experience using Relativity is required. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promotes the use of technology in the practice of law
  • Provides professional and courteous customer service at all times
  • Effectively communicates knowledge of process, cost and time related to electronic discovery
  • Meets with case teams and/or clients and vendors to plan and design technology needs for each matter
  • Prepares cost and time estimates and case-related budgets, if necessary
  • Advises and consults on best practices relating to the preservation, collection, processing review, and production of electronically stored information (ESI) in discovery
  • Designs and maintains all aspects of litigation support databases in consultation with case teams
  • Assists to troubleshoot and resolve application and system-related issues, perform application testing, and perform system maintenance and data management
  • Provides technical support and training to attorneys and paralegals and assists to develop training materials
  • Intakes, logs, and tracks all media, data, client ESI, or paper documents received
  • Processes, loads, OCRs, and indexes ESI and paper documents in discovery
  • Reviews and quality checks processed ESI and data and images loaded to databases
  • Coordinates, tracks, and reports status on in-house and outsourced projects 
  • Provides support and database monitoring to case teams during document review 
  • Coordinates document productions and perform production quality checks
  • Provides support to case teams in preparation for and during trial
  • Maintains a case file for each matter per established Department best practices
  • Provides timely review, verification, and submission of invoices for payment
  • Properly enters client billable time and expenses on a weekly basis
  • Protects the Firm and its clients by maintaining strict confidentiality 
  • Consults with Department management, IT personnel, and firm leadership as needed
  • Performs other assignments as required

Education, Skill, and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Relevant experience
  • Training or certification in project management
  • Advanced use of Relativity, RelativityOne, TextMap, Law Pre-Discovery, Sanction and other data and image manipulation tools and utilities
  • Certification in e-discovery and/or litigation support applications is preferred
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications is also required
  • Law firm experience and thorough knowledge of the litigation process, although significant experience servicing law firms at a service provider or working within a corporate legal department may also be considered
