e-Discovery Collections Specialist (LAW FIRM)

Our client, an Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking an e-Discovery Collection Specialist for its Atlanta office. The e-Discovery Collection Specialist will perform and support all aspects of digital forensics and collections, including data identification, preservation and collection of Electronically Stored Information (ESI) in support of litigation, investigation and other electronic discovery matters, including difficult to collect data and unique media. The successful candidate will have managerial experience and possess the ability to manage a team of forensics collections professionals. Candidates should have some related experience and be familiar with a wide variety of tools and platforms, including strong background in Cellebrite, Exchange, Relativity, Ipro, Nuix, LAW, and EnCase or Forensic Toolkit.   • Identify relevant sources of data and locations for designated custodians
  • Preserve data such as email, voice mail, text and data files using e-discovery standard preservation tools/methodologies
  • Non-forensic data acquisition / collection utilizing forensically sound collection methodologies and toolsets in support of investigations and agency actions
  • Forensic data acquisition / collection utilizing forensic methodologies and toolsets in support of litigation
  • Forensic analysis, processing and tracking of collected data - Media Logging
  • Respond to any project related queries and work with others to provide solutions
  • Troubleshoot issues, prepare summaries, document processes and workflows, propose solutions, and collaborate and communicate with internal team members
  • Various other tasks in support of our forensics and collection efforts
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, even under pressure
  • Ability to effectively organize and balance multiple projects and responsibilities, often under tight timeframes
  • Clear understanding and recognition that work schedule is ultimately determined by attorney needs, and may involve after-hours and/or weekends
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to describe complex technical concepts / ideas in non-technical terms
  • Provide support to the Relativity, Ipro and Nuix platforms as well as general team support



  • Bachelor Degree and related experience
  • Familiar with Exchange 2007 and 2013
  • Exchange 2013 eDiscovery processes
  • Basic Exchange recipient administration concepts (journaling, mailbox, shared mailbox)
  • Previous computer forensics / electronic discovery experience
  • Understanding of the e-discovery process and methodology (EDRM)
  • Proficient in the use of EnCase or Forensic Toolkit
  • Firm understanding of Chain of Custody procedures; forensic best practices, and evidence handling and preservation
  • Experience with litigation support software such as Relativity, Clearwell, Concordance
  • Experience processing data using software such as Ipro eCapture, Nuix, LAW
  • Understanding of computer networking concepts, network security, traffic and throttling
  • Experience with Window administration including AD and Group Policy
  • Understanding of file systems and hard disk drive structures
  • Experience with networking, and troubleshooting personal computers and servers
