e-Discovery Technical Support Consultant (French) (SOFTWARE COMPANY)

Our client, a new and emerging ESI software company, is seeking a French-speaking Technical Consultant for remote, work-from-home solutions engineering. This role will be interacting daily with potential, new and existing clients, understanding their workflows, needs and requirements and making recommendations. With potential clients, this role will work alongside the sales team to provide an environment for evaluating the software (either in the cloud or on the clients’ premises). The technical consultant will help new clients deploy the application in their chosen environment in a model that fits their needs, as determined in consultation with the client and other members of the team, and participate in the delivery of training and post installation testing of the environment. The technical consultant will use grassroots relationships to help existing clients maintain, upgrade and get the most out of their use of the application, including feeding technical issues and enhancement requests back to the development team. An understanding of and experience in designing, installing, configuring and supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments; sound understanding of data storage technologies, including RAID, NAS and SAN technologies; and demonstrated experience installing, configuring and querying Microsoft SQL Server is desired, but not required. Must speak fluent French and be willing to travel up to four weeks per year. Send resumes to [email protected].

A Successful Applicant Will Have:

  • A comprehensive understanding and experience installing, configuring and supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments
  • A sound understanding of data storage technologies, including RAID, NAS and SAN technologies
  • Solid computer networking knowledge
  • Demonstrated experience installing, configuring and querying Microsoft SQL Server
  • A proven track record of delivering practical, client focused and timely IT solutions as a technical / help desk support operator
  • The ability to troubleshoot technical issues autonomously without the use of pre-written scripts
  • This role can be located anywhere with the ability to travel to Montreal four times a year


Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science
  • Customer support experience (help desk/technical support)
  • Experience installing, configuring and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server 2008 through to 2016
  • Experience in e-discovery – data processing, exception handling, data analysis, review and production, writing SQL scripts
  • Experience in virtualization technologies and providers, such as VMware, Amazon AWS, Azure and IBM SoftLayer
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a remote team environment
  • A positive, motivated and pro-active attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • While not mandatory, French language skills would be highly desirable
