Director, Privacy Consulting (CONSULTANCY)

Our client is seeking a Director of Privacy Consulting to join their thriving Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Practice with a particular focus on privacy consulting within cyber, risk, and information governance. The Director is responsible for maintaining existing client relationships, delivering quality work product for clients, managing project teams and ensuring that projects are on time and on budget. Extensive consulting experience; several years of experience managing large, complex data governance, privacy or similar projects; and experience managing global GRC engagements is required. Knowledge and/or experience with GRC platforms, information governance software, ECM, records management software, or similar technologies and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Visio are required, and knowledge of database systems, software development lifecycle, and technology company operations is preferred. Required Experience:

  • Extensive consulting experience 
  • Several years of experience managing large, complex data governance, privacy or similar projects 
  • Experience managing global GRC engagements (combination of privacy, security, IT and data management) 

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, or other privacy certifications preferred
  • CISSP, AHIMA, IGP, CRM or other similar certifications preferred

Software:

  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills required
  • Knowledge and/or experience with GRC platforms, information governance software, ECM, records management software, or similar technologies required
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Visio required; Office 365, OneDrive, and SharePoint preferred
  • Knowledge of database systems, software development lifecycle, and technology company operations preferred

Language(s):

  • Multilingual capabilities (read, speak and/or write) preferred

  • Ability to up-sell after the first engagement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills

  • Ability to successfully multitask while working independently or within a group environment
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the Firm and with clients
  • Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel 
  • Ability to encourage a team environment on engagements and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnel

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Master’s, Juris Doctorate, MBA or other relevant advanced degree required
