Our client is seeking a Systems Administrator in Washington, D.C. with a passion for all phases of litigation support and a desire to lead challenging projects for the U.S. Government. The Systems Administrator will work among a high-performing and collaborative team providing litigation support services to the Department of Justice. This position requires a strong systems background, solid understanding of e-discovery methodologies, excellent client service skills, and experience working with cross-functional technical and legal teams. Knowledge of the specific applications and application software such as SQL, VMs, and Relativity; an in-depth knowledge of the Government's IT environments and security requirements; and experience designing, obtaining equipment and software, installing, integrating, testing, etc. in the environment is required. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports a government contracting team providing litigation support services, providing excellent customer service and solutions to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Consistently delivers well-articulated, balanced, and informed communications
  • Participates in defining and maintaining the processes and tools that allow team and client to meet client needs
  • Develops strong partnerships with the clients and supporting team leaders to provide stellar customer service
  • Establishes or refines processes and delivery methodologies to enable successful delivery on project goals
  • Serves as a key stakeholder in the development of technical project documentation
  • Establishes collaborative relationships with co-workers and team members
  • Assists client and management in other client service tasks as needed

Direct Reports:
This position reports to and takes work direction from an onsite Lead Project Manager. This position has no direct reports but may have some supervisory responsibilities for tasks and other teammates’ tasks.

Day- to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the operation and maintenance of IT systems set up by the Government to provide automated litigation support IT resources to specific cases
  • Coordinates with the company and DOJ technical/automation network staff on issues related to DOJ office automation networks; reports on progress to all stakeholders
  • Serves as primary point of contact for Government technical teams and client leaders with oversight for access and technical maintenance 
  • Works among a high-performing and collaborative team in supporting a Government team providing litigation support from case consultation through review, production, trial and disposition
  • Responds to incoming requests for assistance with computer access, setting up web conferencing, gaining access to the appropriate Government systems and credentials, advanced troubleshooting, and consultation on technical workflow solutions
  • Troubleshoots complex issues while keeping the client informed with well-articulated and frequent updates; coordinates with internal resources and Relativity Support as needed
  • Leverages technical expertise to advise client on latest technology and best practices
  • Drafts internal and external documentation, including standard protocols, policies, and lessons learned in order to improve efficiency, standardize processes and enhance overall user experience
  • Maintains an understanding of e-discovery, market competitors and the hardware/software used to support the client
  • Works a shift schedule of 9:30am – 6:00pm


  • Hands-on experience implementing system set up (access, credentials, AV support) with a focus on client solutions 
  • Experience designing, obtaining equipment and software, installing, integrating, testing, etc. in the environment required
  • Experience with large systems with a complex mix of operating systems and functions
  • Must have a good understanding of the specific applications and application software such as SQL, VMs, Relativity, etc.
  • Experience setting up large-scale database management applications, using the applicable database management software
  • Experience in storage technology planning, performance capacity planning and modeling, applications planning, human factors issues, distributed processing, and business process analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of the Government's IT environments and security requirements, including office automation networks and PC and server based databases and applications required
  • Litigation support experience highly valued
  • Supervisory experience very strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with both e-discovery technical teams and non-technical business leaders and must be a team player
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile work environment
  • Experience and familiarity with e-discovery services covering all realms of the EDRM (file to trial)
  • Must be able to work onsite in Washington, D.C. Monday - Friday
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (active clearance preferred)
  • No travel required
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
