Practice Director, Incident Response (CONSULTANCY)

Our client, a boutique company with four years in a row as an Inc. 5000 fastest growing company, is seeking a sophisticated, client-facing Practice Director in Incident Response, ideally located in Austin or Washington, D.C. This role will report to the CEO. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, ideally with experience speaking and consulting with C-level board of directors. Experience with people and project management, as well as security consulting is required. Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage a services team of seven to nine direct reports
  • Drive performance and manage by objectives and key results
  • Maniacal focus on client satisfaction during service delivery
  • Grow, develop, and retain direct reports
  • Enhance and improve application security service line offerings
  • Assist sales in identifying and closing new business opportunities
  • Oversee team's engagement schedule and resource utilization

Minimum Expectations:

  • Deep understanding of application security and client challenges
  • Strong communication skills - both internally and externally
  • Relentless restlessness to improve execution and service delivery
  • People management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Security consulting experience

Desired Experience:

  • Offensive security and penetration testing experience
  • Software development experience
  • Bachelors or masters in computer science or engineering
